AxeLab Studios LLC is a creative technology company dedicated to building meaningful experiences through software, gaming, and innovation. Founded by Alex Johnston, AxeLab began as a solo indie studio and has grown into a business with ambitions across multiple industries.
Our foundation is in game development—creating interactive entertainment projects and working toward partnerships with Xbox. But AxeLab is more than games. We are expanding into automotive innovation with StrayLane Motors, and exploring future ventures in music, custom paint modifications, and 3D printing.

Roadmap & Goals
Our next milestone is ID@Xbox certification, bringing AxeLab’s games to console audiences. This step will establish AxeLab as a verified studio and open the door to publishing opportunities on Xbox platforms.
We’re actively developing new prototypes to expand our portfolio and showcase our technical and creative range:
- Rhythm RPG Prototype — a unique blend of rhythm gameplay and role-playing mechanics, inspired by the energy of Guitar Hero and expanded into a full RPG experience with progression, narrative, and skill-based challenges.
- Beeyond Worlds — an ambitious game concept exploring expansive environments, creative mechanics, and immersive storytelling focused on discovery and player-driven expression.
Parallel to our game roadmap, we are laying the groundwork for StrayLane Motors in the automotive space—focused on vehicle sales and custom solutions—and preparing future creative ventures in music, custom paint modifications, and 3D printing.
Our near-term goals include building console-ready pipelines, strengthening brand assets, and developing strategic partnerships. Expect regular updates, dev logs, and project showcases as each milestone locks in.
Founder Bio
Alex Johnston is the founder of AxeLab Studios LLC. He is completing an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Software Development at Ivy Tech Community College, with graduation expected on December 23, 2025, and has earned a Certificate in Software Development. Alex combines technical expertise with entrepreneurial vision, building ventures across game development, automotive innovation, and creative industries.
Alex established AxeLab Studios to merge creativity and technology, and is actively expanding into new industries with projects like StrayLane Motors. His mission is to build products and experiences that inspire, engage, and deliver lasting impact.
